Astilleros Bender is a full-service ship repair, conversion, and construction organization with facilities close to Tampico, Mexico. A.B. is conveniently located to allow customers close access from anywhere in the Gulf of Mexico.

Astilleros Bender (A.B.) is conveniently located 10 kilometers from the Gulf of Mexico up the Panuco River across from the city of Tampico. The shipyard consists of 28 hectares of land, and 603 meters of river frontage that is accessed by a 9 meters deep maintained river channel.

Astilleros Bender currently is concentrating on ship repair, and has in operation two 3000-ton lift capacity dry docks. The facility currently has capabilities including warehousing, marine fabrication, pipe fabrication, electrical, mechanical and blasting and painting. A.B. has available cranes with the lift capability of 10 to 225 tons. A.B. also has ABS certification with all necessary engineering, equipment, and tools required to support shipyard operations.

The facility is located just minutes from Tampico’s Francisco Mina International Airport and Highways 180, 110, 105, and 85. A.B. also has available rail service to the United States and other parts of Mexico.
